With a wealth of varied professional experience to his credit, Tim Fahey is a principal of Surface Specialist, LLC. His company specializes in the preparation of substrates for flooring finishes and low-tolerance wall/partition systems. Additionally, the company installs UL-rated sound attenuation and underlayment systems utilized in multi-family, wood-frame construction. Prior to forming his own company, Tim was president of LVI Environmental Services, Inc’s., Philadelphia subsidiary. As president, Tim had overall operating responsibility for the Philadelphia office of the Nation’s largest asbestos removal and demolition company.

Fahey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, from Villanova University. He has been working in construction as field labor through management for over 30 years. He holds several OSHA certifications, is an active member of the Metropolitan Regional Council of Carpenters Local 1823 and has been working closely with Philadelphia union labor for over 15 years. He contributes positively through his volunteer involvement with the RFA.

Fahey is a fitness enthusiast, has competed as a cyclist, and enjoys coaching his two sons’ Pop Warner football teams.
